Circle of Serbian Sisters
Ladies Auxiliary
The Circle of Serbian Sisters ‘Tsaritsa Milica’ is a women's philanthropic organisation and an integral part of St Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Parish, serving as a subcommittee of the Parish Board.
Established on 21 July 1963, with Ruža Bulovan as its first President, the Circle has been a cherished part of parish life for more than six decades. Membership is voluntary and honorary, with its charitable work carried out in a spirit of discretion, courtesy and kindness.

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

A Tradition of
Faith & Service
Generations of dedicated women have contributed to the spiritual, charitable and social life of our Parish. From caring for the Church and preparing traditional food for feast days and community gatherings to fundraising and supporting those in need, the Circle's contributions remain invaluable.
The Circle has played an important role in supporting Serbian families affected by war and displacement, particularly during the 1990s, providing humanitarian aid and financial assistance to communities in Serbia and the surrounding regions.
Today, our Kolo continues this tradition of service through parish celebrations, Sunday fellowship after Divine Liturgy, fundraising activities and community events.
The Circle celebrates its patron saint, the Venerable Eugenia (Lazarević), on 1 August (19 July, Old Julian Calendar), and plays an active role in the Parish Slava, Vidovdan, commemorated on 28 June.
Our Mission
The Circle of Serbian Sisters is dedicated to:
Supporting those in need, including the poor, sick, unemployed, and those experiencing hardship, through charitable work and fundraising.
Advancing the philanthropic mission of Lazarica Parish through educational initiatives and community outreach.
Preserving Orthodox Christian faith, family values and Serbian traditions in accordance with Church teachings.
Strengthening parish and community life through active participation and cooperation with the Parish Priest and Parish Board.
Since its establishment in 1963, the Circle of Serbian Sisters has grown and flourished, remaining an integral and cherished part of our Parish community.
