The Mission of Saint Lazarus Church is to proclaim the Good News of Salvation through the Orthodox Christian Faith for the glory of our Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Through this Mission Statement, we summarise who we are as a Church and how we strive to live our calling as the Body of Christ. We hope this website will introduce you to our ancient Orthodox Christian Faith and our beloved church family. We also hope these pages will help you discover something new about our Faith.
If you are looking for a church family, we warmly welcome you to come and visit us. If you are a new member of our Parish, or are considering membership, these pages will help acquaint you with our Parish and what it offers to those who support and sustain it.
Our primary role and mission is religious ministry: keeping, preserving, and proclaiming the Word of God and the good news of human salvation and eternal life.
As a Serbian Orthodox parish, we also serve the Australian Serbian community, helping preserve our language, history, culture and traditions while being an active part of Australia's wider multicultural community. In this spirit, our Parish offers weekly classes for school-age children in the Serbian language, traditional folk song and dance, together with Scripture classes. We also occasionally organise social events for the wider Serbian community.
