Youth Ministries
Growing together in faith, friendship and service
Young people are an important part of our parish family. At St Lazarus, we encourage children and young adults to take part in the life of the Church, grow in their Orthodox faith and build lasting friendships within our community.
From serving during the Divine Liturgy to sharing in youth fellowship, there are opportunities for younger generations to feel at home in the Church and strengthen their connection to our faith and traditions.

Serving in the Church
Altar Boys
Altar servers assist the clergy during the Divine Liturgy and other church services. By serving at the Holy Altar, young boys learn about Orthodox worship and traditions while developing reverence, responsibility, and a spirit of service to the Church.
Boys aged five and above are welcome to enquire about becoming altar servers.
Girls Epistle Readers
Reading the Epistle is a meaningful way for young people to participate in the Divine Liturgy and share the teachings of the Holy Apostles with our parish community.
Through this ministry, young readers grow in confidence and deepen their understanding of Holy Scripture.
Girls aged nine and above are welcome to participate in the Sunday Epistle readings.
