Church Choir and Chanters

The choir is an important element of church prayer, a beautiful musical activity, and a magnificent way to meet new people in the congregation.

The chanter is a common person who supports the priest by reciting hymns and replies during church events or sacraments.

Our Choir Conductor (director) is Mrs Dragana Jovanovic Milanovik, a professor of music, graduate of Musical Academy of Skopje (Northern Macedonia), majoring in Choir Conducting.

The Orthodox Church traditionally does not use any instruments in the liturgy, instead relying entirely on choral music and chanting.

Essentially all the words of Orthodox services, except sermons and such, are either chanted or sung by readers and choirs and when possible the congregations.
