About the event
Children’s Day
For the past several years St Lazarus Church organises a special celebration of a traditional Serbian Children’s Day (Detinci) – celebrated on the third Sunday before our Christmas Day. Thanks to our parishioners’ donors, who purchase and pack valuable gift bags for children, our church presents the gift bags to all children present at church on the day. This is in memory of St Nicholas, an unexhausted example of mercifulness and of gifting others, especially the needy.
